I can see East Hook doesn't get very good reviews, I was wondering if anyone had any experience of West Hook - which has limited, but seemingly good reviews.

My partners friends go there a lot and we are returning Saturday for our 3rd time. It's in a beautiful area with fabulous views, but it is very basic. Last time we went the shower wasn't working brilliantly and the toilet light was broken but we like the fact it's a field and it really is getting away from it all.

I went to East Hook Farm last summer, and had a brilliant time. Unfortunately the farm has changed ownership and the new owners do not run a campsite any longer.

We particularly enjoyed the space available, the wildness, and the location right on the Pembrokeshire cliff path. I'm now looking for a similar site as close to MArtins Haven as I can get.

Is West Hook Farm also a campsite? Or does anyone know of any other good site operating near to Martins Haven?

West Hook Farm is a well run campsite. It is split into several areas, with the fishermen near the road, so that they don't wake everyone up!

Part of the site is sloping, but you get stunning views across St. Brides Bay. Showers are 50p and there are clean toilet facilities and an area for washing up.

The site has always been clean and tidy when I've visited. (4x)

Mrs. Thomas is very friendly and helpful. The Barn has been used in bad weather, as the site can be a bit exposed.

Excellently situated for Skomer and the Pembroke footpath.

You only need to book if you're staying for about a week.

The site costs £4.00 per person and £1.00 for a car.

If you're staying on Skomer, they will look after your car for £10 per week.

Marloes (The nearest pub.) is about 30 minutes walk away.

Any queries, please give them a call.

we have just  had 1 of the best weekends of our lives, at west hook farm. we were 1st timmers, we will deffently be going back, as soon as possible. the site itself it immucalte, the toilets are cleaned at least 4 times a day, there is a sink to wash your dishes, the use of a fridge and freezer, which was very useful to keep the beers cold.!!! the showers cost us 50p, last 4 minutes, which was plenty of time to wash the sand off!!

The pub and the shop are both under new manangement, both are enthuastic about the hoilday makers.

Got used to the laid back atmosphere at east hook, but since it has closed had to go to West Hook ,same wonderfull veiws, average but clean facilites not to expensive. However beware the owner don't break the 10 oclock curfew or you will be locked in or out as we were! Don't park within 3 m of the nearest camper. Failure to observe these laws may result in you being shouted off the site in frount of your three children. Otherwise had a cracking weekend. I love Pembroke and the people (most of them).

West hook farm has rules, obviously east hook farm never. the locking of the gate is a good idea, so that cars do not wake campers tht already onsite, especially 1s with children. the villiage of marloes is in pembrokeshire not pembroke, that is a town 20 miles frm marloes. i suggest you get ur facts correct befor you bad mouth people. iam sure the people of west hook will have campers, without people like you.!!

It's a brilliant campsite - we stayed there for years when our children were younger - but Carre does get cross with people who might spoil the peace and quiet. Yes it's very windy at times, but that's part of the experience.

Hi guys, my name is Colin Edwards and i am a wildlife photographer from Cambridgeshire. Rather than my usual trips abroad i am concentrating on the British Isles and planning a trip to Skomer to photograph the Puffins, so i need to find accomodation as close as possible to Martin’s Haven. I dont mind if its a Hotel, B&B or campsite but just need it to be close. |I am looking for as much info on accomodation and the island as possible any help or advise would be great. Kindest Regards Colin           www.colinedwardsphotography.co.uk
