Hi all

Its probably something really clever and obvious but can anybody tell me what is the purpose of the downward pointing lace hook stuck onto the tongues of my boots?

Hi Ben

If you lace your boots up using the hook in the middle of the tongue it keeps the tongue in position and stops it from slipping to one side.  Its a frequently asked question here in the shop.

Thanks Johnny,

Thats what I wanted to know, I don't have problem with the tongues slipping but I see the sense of it, In the future I'll make sure I use them anyway.

My new boots have a slot in the tongue. I assume the slot serves the same purpose as a hook. I have to say that I have never suffered from the boot tongue moving to one side. Must be the only boot ailment I have not suffered.
