Hi,

I fancy getting up to Wooler Northumberland early evening. Then walking in the Cheviots for 2-3 hours finding a place to pitch the tent.A good day's walk the next day then returning to Wooler to get the bus back to Gateshead.Has anyone got a good idea for a  wild campsite and walk.

Out over Gains Law towards Yeavering Bell - along the tops to Hare Law then down to the College Burn. Then up through the Hen Hole to the Cheviot and back to Wooler (loooong) or cut back East to Goldcleugh and back that way via Broadhope?

Those hills are nice - loads of places to camp; keeping a little further Nth of Goldscleugh and not dropping down to the College Burn cuts both distance and climbing.
