Any Waterproof Jacket Bargains?

Anyone know where theres any decent Waterproof Jacket bargains online at the moment?

I recently lost my Sprayway R49 GTX jacket and i'm looking for a replacement up to £160 max, size large in a natural colour (black/green etc). Its to be used from March -November in UK for hill walking.

I was looking at an ME Morpheus, Ogre and Rab Drillium, Latok or Corrie and was on the verge of buying but i've now seen a sub £100 ME Firefly (?) and Berghaus Paclite and also a Mountain Hardwear Manticore(?). Does anyone know any cheap deals on these makes or if i'd be better just saving my money and going for the others i've spotted.

Hopefully it will always be dry so it will be in your pack, so weight is a cosideration. E-vent seems to be the most breathable fabric but Paclite is the lightest and smallest packed. Then you also have features to consider. Re-inforced areas, pocket placement, etc. Decide what YOU really need/want, try on your choices if possible, then sit down with a cup of tea for a Google frenzy.

 Thanks

I think you hit the nail on the head - I really like the ME and Rab ones stated but i'm starting to question whether i need them (for 3 season hill walking).

I'm unsure about the cheaper ones i spotted, the ME Firefly, paclite, manticore etc, whether they'd do as good a job or whether its worth paying the £60+ extra.

I think i was hoping someone can either say "this site has really cheap ME/Rab stuff" or "dont bother, a Firefly/paclite or manticore etc will do the job.."or "this one is cheap and just as good..."

The more i look the more confused i get!!

Rock and Run often have good deals.

I've bought a few things from Towerridge and they usually have a few good deals on.

I bought a Montane Quick-Fire (from link) - Great piece of kit at a great price. http://www.hike-lite.co.uk/acatalog/Montane-Quick-fire.html

Thanks mate, i think i'll go with that. Really like Montane (had an excellent windproof for years) and at £144 for E-Vent, its comfortably in the price range.

Glad i asked as Montane hard shells werent even on the radar.
