Kate - text IS wrapping properly, but the whopping great 'link' James posted is taking up far too much horizontal space. When using the 'link' button, I don't think everyone realises that they can get round this problem by highlighting any text - like this - to do exactly the same thing!

Oh, phew! I was worried I'd b*ggered up the page there, and you've just relieved me of so much anxiety, Paddy

You're welcome Kate.

Now... I can do tidy 'links'... but I still haven't figured out how to post photos on this site!

Paddy

do you mean upload your own in the Gallery, or the embedding of photos in a thread?

The embedding of photos in a thread please.

And the mysterious embedding of the odd You Tube video please.

FM26-71 is the US Army Field Manual on Survival, Evasion and Recovery.

It's freely available from various online sources, such as this or this.  But I suspect that selling it on CD constitutes a copyright violation.

Maybe the seller will need his escape and evasion skills when the DoD come after him...

Admittedly, they've added an MP3 version that someone has made, presumably by reading the manuals...

Paddy, here's how it works for me!

Copy the location of the image. Click on the tree icon above the box in which you compose your replies etc in threads. Paste the address where it says URL, then for a picture just click Insert. For a Youtube vid you'll need to click on the drop-down menu of options where it says Type. You select the Youtube option & click Insert.

I have heard that US government publications are very close to public domain so the distribution on CD is probably not a copyright violation.

And £4 for burning it to CD and creating a 'professionally authored menu-driven viewing procedure'* menu system in not too bad.

* If the menu system is workable

I saw someone the other day selling the climb when ready DVD, all the normal blurb but they did state at the end that it was not the genuine disc but a copy. Stated it was a backup copy that did not have copyright? Can't figure that one out?

All for £3, much cheaper than buying in a shop and it sold
