I need to find a lightweight telescopic tentpole, for a Lair 2 tarp. Were can I get one? Of course, I could buy a walking pole, but since I won't use it to walk with, it feels like overkill. Maximum lenght does not need to be more than 120cm. Help is greatly appriciated. /Jarl.

You can get basha poles from www.sass-kit.fsbusiness.co.uk. £9.99 a pair, 73cm a pole, they can be combined to make a long one. Never ordered anything from them so can't vouch for what they're like. Sure there are other places you can get basha poles from, mainly army surplus stores like silvermans.

Those basha poles could be an option, but ideally the pole should be adjustable to allow diffent hights on the tarp. -Pete, if you have any old trekking poles to spare, please throw one in the Ealing direction!

The Gaynor's end.
In Ambleside. Cheaper than Greg's basha pole above.

Just to round this one off; I did get a cheap trekking pole in the end, and although it's light, that's not a very important factor on most trips out any more, since my girlfriend promised to use it as a, well trekking pole, as she stumbles a lot..

For a totally class adjustable pole see www.fibraplex.com called their Pinnacle Tarp pole, $30 or $40. Also it's carbon fibre and very light. They are in the US, postage seems to be $9 to Europe.
RockRun.com have treking poles for £15 each.
