im going camping in may to lake district, but intend on wild camping soon and im looking for a tent for a budget of £150 give or take...
im 6ft 2" which is always going to be a pain, need to store a 65ltr pack, and have a decent porch to cook if its too windy or rainy... i was looking at the vango spirit 200 which ive seen for around £140.
does anyone own one or know if its a good tent?
the tent i get needs to be light as i will be carrying it around with me... thanks
Yep, the Sl1 is nice, but they are NOT very tough, having had one they are lovely well made and nice and long, but the materials whilst excellent quality are not suitable for the UK. The Hydrostatic head is only 1200-1500 which isnt great. Still there gear is good.
The vangos look good and for the price you cannot go wrong!
The Vango Spirit slopes sharply where you feet would be. I'm 6ft 2 and in mine my foot would often touch the inner or my head would be uncomfortably close to the front. Also the highest part of the tent is at the front door, so you can't really sit up while remaining inside the tent comfortably.
