In the Covent Garden shop from Saturday morning, in a rather fetching olive drab. Reminds me of the Montane Krypton, but with a better hood and fully waterproof. (I seem to be the first owner of one.....).

Just need rain now to test it

I'm now in Bergen - so it shouldn't be long!
 Is it this colour?
It's a lot darker than the 'standard' VA green (with apologies for a poor photo in a hotel room!). The pump liner is grey instead of the more usual dark blue.
It's one of the Naturally Paramo range. It means you're now officially a twitcher...
Good colour that..... ....considering they nicked it from Buffalo....
Ooh, but the outer material of the VAL is sooooooooooo nice
if they did one as a proper velez...
Odd how there is no detail about these products on the 'normal' paramo website (even if they just offered the green ones as a colour option for whatever jacket and smock you happened to be looking at). I looked for a link too but could find nothing. I wonder why they seem to keep the web presence so separate? Drab green is not bad - a positive improvement over some options!

And I stand corrected - there is a link from Cascada trousers if you want them in green and the Velez adventure smock is shown in green. I will go back to sleep now!
The thread title is a bit misleading, the gents Velez Adventure Light is not available in anything but red/grey...I think ......, the Velez Adventure on the other hand is available in a range of colours.

Below is part of an email sent to customers of the Paramo store Covent Garden who are on their mailing list. Phone the store on 0207 379 8615 if you want to be added to this list. "Due to your requests we've produced a limited edition of the NEW Velez Adventure Light in Moss green. Grab a sneak preview and be the first to buy our best selling smock in this great new colour on the night. There's very limited availability, but you get the first pickings, so don't miss out!
The 19% lighter Velez Adventure Light Smock has had excellent reviews and is in considerable demand from those multi-activists looking to travel fast and light and still have Nikwax Analogy protection and Directionality."

In a Large, 600g for the VAL, 735g for the 'standard' Velez Adventure, so it's not quite a 19% difference. And the thread title is correct - my VAL is very definately drab green!
I stand corrected.......and its my birthday soon and I want one of those green VAL's
The velez adventure light smock will be available in moss this autumn and will be stocked mainly by Naturally Paramo retailers. It will also be available in black for men and will be instore from September.
