BMC members, 20% discount at The Outdoor shop!

Most outdoor shops will only give you 10% on whatever you spend. You can easily get your £22.50 yearly membership fee back. You also get discounts on all sorts of thing to insurance and car hire.

They sell a lot of items at reduced prices anyway so, depending on what you are buying, the BMC membership might not help (BMC discount only applies to RRP items).

I bought a Thermarest and a ME rucksack from The Outdoor Shop and saved a lot of money without using my BMC discount. They don't have online ordering but I got to listen to a nice girl's voice as she efficiently took my order and checked the items were in stock at the same time.

The stuff arrived quickly without any problems. I'll happily buy from them again.

Yeah I know Geoffrey but for me I saved loads using the BMC card. And yep nice voices. The Outdoor Shop is the only place that offers 20% as far as I know, BMC were amazed when I told them :)

I've had nothing but excellent service from The Outdoorshop. Their January sales has to be seen to be believed, 90% of stock reduced and not just old lines/styles.

As Geoffrey says, they tend to reduce a lot of stuff anyway so you can't always get use the BMC discount. However if I am making any large purchases then I will always go there first.
