Lightening my load has been seriously lightening my wallet so i've been looking at cheaper meal options. and found these MUGSHOTS, 3 packs for a pound in the pound shop. Pasta, either Chicken, or Tomato and Herb flavour. Place in a mug and add hot water, wait a couple of minutes and there you have it 1 pack is a nice hot snack, 2 makes a decent meal.

Chomping on a spicy sweet and sour mugshot as I type! No artificial stuff in them either.

is it just like a cup-a-soup type idea or does it acctually give some sustanance
Similar to cup-a-soup but with proper pasta. I had 2 packs and a pork pie
It also comes with dried veg but I add more and also cured meat to make a cheap overnight meal. Pork pies sound good though!

sounds like a nutrionist's dream mick. i'm recovering from eating some salad in a sandwich. really! green stuff! (shudders) i'll have to give the pots a go though - i think they're 99p in my local shop - i love a bargain.

Parky it's a packet, 3 for a pound

soit's basically a pot noodle minus the pot that sounds like a great idea, might have to purchase a few, they can be bought at tesco also apparently would be nice with some fridge raiders type cured chicken and some plum sauce

Asda have been selling them for some time (I'm sure I pay less than 33p each from there). Good for veggies too: I empty 2 of them into a Lakelands boil bag together with an Asda 'Thick + Creamy' packet soup, particularly the spicey flavours (no crap in those either). Add about 600ml of boiling water and for a quid it's quite a reasonable meal. No washing up either!
