 thanks for providing this forum, lots of good info  on a technical note, r the mods aware that it is not possible to add text into the text box when using google CHROME? is this just me or everyone? at the moment i'm in firefox and all seems ok.

 Same here. OM crashes Chrome's tabs even before you type anything. Just looking at a story can crash it.

 OM is also crap with Safari & a number of other international standards compliant browsers. 'Tis just badly coded.

 OM isn't the only site by any means. I gave up using CHROME a while back because I was experiencing the same problem as bob on several sites, including my bank's. I use Opera now, and don't have any problems. I realise I may be in a minority of one, but I really hate Firefox. Oh, btw, welcome to OM bob.

thanks for the confirmations! its a shame that this forum or rather 'type of forum' does not work properly in chrome but i'm sure that the developers are working on it. the forum mods have told them, right? it works well with firefox which is not really a big problem to switch between but i have to say, GOOGLE CHROME beats firefox hands down. i used FF for years and now when i go back to it, i notice how subpar it is. sure, chrome is not perfect with some forums or banks (especially) but it excels in every other aspect. but hey, each to their own

I wouldn't hold your breath. They've known that it doesn't work in Safari for years. "the forum mods"? there is only one, the site editor, and he uses a Mac. So if it isn't optimised for him for Safari, then it'll be a cold day in hell before it works with Chrome. My cynicism comes from using OM for many, many years.

 what i find particularly amusing about this is that the only browser the site never has any problems with, and hence is recomended for viewing the site and many, many people do, is firefox. which with firefox's much touted and efficient ad-blocking add ons is a very curious attitude for a commercial site relying on ad income to take.

just wanted to add that i can add text to a message in the INBOX when using chrome. so for some reason the inbox works in chrome but the forum messages don't. weird

 Hmmm.... I suspect it'll be a while before the forum is optimised for Chrome, although in an ideal world, it would be. Pull up a comfy armchair and watch this space

 Bit poor in my opinion, can't be that hard. I've got fifty sites bookmarked in all my browsers and in Chrome, OM is the only one that doesn't work.
