These are Great tents, I got one last summer for a big base camp tent, these are very big tents and fairly heavy so you would not really want to carry it very far, if you are going for the 4P i think the Den 4P is a nice option as its a bit lighter.
The tent has a lot of mesh which is great in the summer time but I think It feels quite a bit colder than my quasar. It is possible to put the tent up on your own but its a bit af a pain and is significantly easier with 2 people.
Is it the 4p or the 6p you have, I can get 4p for £250 delivered to Belgium, I like the fact its so big and will stand up to weather, also my missues is more likely to go car camping if the tent is bigger and with good space for cooking and a camp chair.
Gear storage looks very good as does the venting options.
I am looking for something I can put up on a campsite in Scotland or the Alps in the Summer and not have to worry baout it if I am away on a wild camp.
We went for the 6P which is really big and you can easily stand up in, the porch space is not that big considering the size of the internal space. We have used this tent a lot in the UK but its not been to the Alps as I missed out on my alps trip last summer and I am off to walk the GR20 this summer so I guess I will miss out again. The tent is very stable in bad weather but it does have large side walls which can catch the wind a bit so in high winds you need to make sure its well guyed out.
The tent has not leaked but in some conditions you get a bit of moisture on the inner tent, I think this is caused form condensation on the fly dripping onto the inner tent, in some cases this has come through the mesh panels of the inner tent and caused a few drips inside the tent. This is not a big issue for us and to be fair has rarely happened.
I have a large dog who sleeps in the tent and the ground sheet is bearing up well.
Not what you asked for I know, Stephen, but thought I'd draw your attention to it anyway as it's a fantastic high quality car camping base tent - Primus Bifrost
Doesn't seem to be available in the UK anymore (but worth checking with Cotswold as they may still have some knocking about)
Readily available your side of the channel though.
