I don't own either of the ones you mention but I have tried the Panasonic G-1 and it performs brilliantly. I'd personally choose it over the other versions as it has an eye-level viewfinder. If that isn't important then the I'd definitely choose the GF-1 over the Pen in spite of the fact that I use Olympus E-System 4/3rds DSLR's.

The general feeling is that the Panasonic m4/3rds models focus faster and in addition the GF-1 has a built in flash which although it won't be as powerful as an external flash will increase your options.

Had both E-P1 and GF-1, kept the GF-1. As stated above, Panasonic auto focus is a lot faster and the operation is (for me) easier - Olympus seem to love complex menus. GF-1 is a fraction lighter as well.

Collapsing zoom on the Pen saves space, but is a pain to use. Panasonic 20mm 1.7 is an extremely nice lens (and will work equally well on either body).

However, Olympus has in-body IS, so more use for using older lenses on and the E-P2 seems to have impoved AF speed (but I've not seen one).

E-P2 external viewfinder looks a lot better than the Panasonic version as well, but looks a lot larger.

Rumours are that there wil be a GF-2 (or similar) with a built-in EVF, looking something like a rangefinder - that will probably be worth waiting for, as both Pen and GF-1 suffer from not having an easy to use small viewfinder.

Yes please, thats what I've been waiting for since the G-1 was released, given up waiting for Olympus to release a proper m4/3rds body although an Olympus m4/3rds would integrate better into my current system.
