Has anyone else been looking at the reviews section lately and thought that they have made it harder to find things? I thought that the old site made it easier as there were more splits to the categories.
I am trying to find reviews on flasks and the closest option is other equipment/hydration systems. There used to be an option IIRC that had flasks in. I think it was waterbottles and flasks with hydration bladders fitting into that category (whatever the exact name was). It made all containers that held liquids hot or cold for drinking purposes in one category.
Now I can't find any flasks. I have done a search and found loads of individual product ages within the reviews section with no reviews just the product name. But there is not result for the category containing them. Anyway I have come to the conclusion that if you want to use any review you have to remember it from when it gets put up on the front page of the website as you are unlikely to find it unless it is one of the modern, fashionable pieces of kit such as softshells, hard shells, tents, rucksacks and stoves. Anything else you can forget it.
Am I alone in thinking that an otherwise perfect site has a poor search facility and illogical gear review categorisation for the extras that often make the trip safe and enjoyable such as flasks for hot drinks.
Sorry Jon and co, rant over I feel better now. No doubt you have a reasonable answer and I will accept it graciously as I will then know how to find things easily and efficiently. My research into flasks will be satisfied by this excellent site and I will have no need for any other outdoors site.
