Just wondered whether anyone had seen a Polartec 100 (or similar) fleece *with a full zip!*

It seems that in the name of light they are now all with 1/2 zip or in the name of ultralight 1/3, 1/4 etc. or 0/1 zip.

Thanks,
N

Whoops just forgot (don't know whether this is wise to mention or not).. Being quite slender, as long as it fits, I don't mind W's stuff!

OK, will take cover now :)

These guys don't have one off the peg, but as they sew them in-house will modify their existing garments for fit etc. since they do a 1/2 zip 100 top I'd guess you could persuade them to make it a full zip. Very friendly bunch as well. Worth considering powerstretch fleece instead of 100 if you're a very slim build - will hug better.

BeyondFleece.

I've yet to try products from this company, but a friend was quite pleased with his jacket purchase. They too custom make jackets. You only pay for the items you require on the item ordered. Need only a pocket on left shoulder...pay for only a pocket on left shoulder. You get the idea.

I live in hope that one day I will have figured out the link thing...here goes!

(if not it's: BeyondFleece.com)

Both TNF's Aurora (polartech 100 plus Powerstretch panels) and the Berghaus Yukon are available in full-zip in some places.

Yeah, the full zip Yukon is just what I am looking for - unfortunately in vain around here! TNF & powerstuff sounds pricy.

Have a look at the Peter Storm Women's hooded fleece, then. There are a couple of versions of the fleece fabric in use, and one is better than the others (feels softer). I noted the stock code of the better one for a friend (05 129 43). I've been practically stitched into simple PS zip-neck tops for the last three years, and they're still going strong. They were knociking them out for £15 in February. Have a look at the Miilets website:

Peter Storm Hoody

No, really, they're worth a look. I tried them on to check sizes for said friend, and they're not particularly 'female cut'.

Yes - I'm sitting here doing a long-term test of a silk thong for a friend. She doesn't know that I've got the thong, or that I'm 'testing' it, but...

... the test results so far are that it's rather uncomfortable...

It's when you get caught 'kissing'* it that you have to start worrying.

...not while still wearing it we hope ....there IS a another way to check a thong for 'wind' resistance you know, but the friend may not want it back afterwards...

you can get the north face salathe jacket, but i wouldn't reccomend it. possibly the worst fleece i have ever seen with regard to pilling up.
