Is anyone else slightly dissatisfied with this tent?

I love the height, and I still think the teepee style is cool, but its a slightyl faff to set up in a hurry, and while its packed size is quite small it could be smaller.

I am going back to the idea that the Scarp is the greatest tent ever made, especially in its new format, and I think I will sell this now and go back to it, but this time as a two man version.

You can put a Hex up in about four minutes.

Edit: Well I can - you obviously can't.

But it will never be as beautifully tight.

For example, on mine, I need a seperate peg for the outer and the inner. If I try and peg together, I peg the inner and when it is as tight as it goes, when the otuer goes over the top, it does not seem possible to generate any sort of tension.

Strange - I use a pole adjustment to take up the sil-sag that occurs after pitching....but its not that bad; here it is after a frosty night, still looking pretty tight.

I extended the tieouts on the inner a bit with some bungee cord and use the same pegging points for inner and outer.

Same here, about 4 minutes for a perfect, tight as you like pitch. On a slow day.

Packed size - I needed to cut my stuffsack in half to cannibalise the fabric for a repair. It still fits in and is now half the size.

But if you don't like it, you don't like it. How much do you want for it?

Because it doesn't lend itself to being pitched as one; it's designed as a modular system.

Plus with two people sharing it makes sense for one to carry the outer and one to carry the inner.
