Coleman Nevada/X-2

Hi,

I'm totally new to camping and am looking at what tent would be best as a starting point. I need a reasonably cheap two-man tent suitable for use in Scottish weather. I doubt we'll be backpacking, but we don't have a car so it's likely to be hauled around by train or motorcycle.

I've seen two Coleman tents which I like the look of - the Nevada, which Wildday have for £39.99 and the X-2, which they have for £46.99.

They both look good to me and seem better specified than others at this price - I'm leaning towards the X-2 for space reasons since the Nevada doesn't have a porch. I've heard a lot mentioned about built in groundsheets and so forth but can't find sufficient info on these models to tell if they have them.

Can anyone let me know what they think of these tents? Are they suitable for what I've described?

Thanks!

How about the Coleman Spirit 2.

Semi- geodesic, so it will be fairly strong in dodgy weather and you can get it online for around £50
