Got a letter in the post today. I have won a Primus Omnifuel Titanium Stove! I see that these are worth £200, I never win anything! Hope it arrives before Christmas, it will make a very nice present! I could even heat up my turkey soup on Christmas day with it when I am out in the Lakes somewhere avoiding the family!!
Thanks TGO

 Bugger.
I was relying on winning that one.
 Ditto bugger. Me too!
The wife one won two (so that's too accounted four!)
Oh goody - I can see a 'need' for a stroll to test it ('cos the back garden's not remote enough)
Thanks TGO from us too.

 Damien,
Have you got yours yet? I have just got a letter saying I have won one.
Now that's what I call excitement! Damien's so excited that he's mixed all his wons and ones and toos and twos up.
 Which won? ;o)
 And no oneder!
Or should have that been 'Thanks TGO from us two'?
No - not arrived yet, but here's hoping it gets here soon.
Grrr, I really want one of these! If anyone wishes to exchange their prizes for beer tokens let me know!
You can get the normal Primus Himalaya Omnifuel stove for only £89.99 from Nevisport and they'll give 10% to students and BMC members. That titanium sure is pricey!
Mine arrived today, looks good. May get a chance to use it on Sundat in the snow. There is some of the white stuff on Helvellyn, Skiddaw and Belncathra today.
Cumbrian Canary - <cough><splutter> USE IT? You're meant to worship it! Sacrilege!
Buy a normal Omnifuel to use in the snow and give the titanium one pride of place on your mantlepiece!
Or give it to me and I'll look after it. :-)

The thought did cross my mind for a minute but it seems a waste not to use a top piece of kit. Tried it out in the back yard and have found that the plastic knob that controls the fuel inlet is cracked. Will have to try and get a new one.

Of corse you now own a top stove. When it arrives i the wooden box with he limited edition number on it it is clse to heaven. Setting fire to it seems almost sacrilege but a fantastic stove. The pump inspires more confidence than MSR with regards to longevity and to run gas cylinders as well. I have 057 and love it. I fear apart from using gas the optimus nova has the edge on liquid fuels and ease of use. Sacrilege I know but there you go.

Awesome piece of kit one of the best purchases I ever made I only use on special trips just too valuable.
 An old thread!!
I must admit, after trying in the backyard (on a gas canister) and having the plastic control knob replaced I haven't used mine in the field.

They should be used and produced in big numbers.
