does anyone know of a place like magic mountain (ME) for MH because i really want to get their manticore jacket although 140 pounds seems a bit steep and i havent seen any reviews yet.

I don't think they have a UK factory shop. You could keep an eye on the online clearance sections - Rock and Run often have some good stuff from top-end brands at the end of the season, but really you just have to keep and ear to the ground and, obviously, use the OM shopping section :-)

I haven't used a Manticore, but look out for a review of the Synchro - which is a similar concept - soon.

Just brought the mountain HArdware Manticore, from cotswold, briliant hard/soft shell construction, Slightly different desing idea to that of the syncro, as it is compleatly waterproof, but is not quite as "fleacy".

All in all the manticore is increadbly well made, and very tough, plenty of room in the hood for a helmet, and very strechy, so loads of movement.
