TNF problems
Any idea on return policies

Ok, time for a story... once upon a time not so long ago I bought a TNF nebula in the sale. However, the outer sheet wetted out when it got wet, on top of which we could never get it to sit right - it's more of less impossible to set it up without the inner and outer touching, obviosly adding to the dampness problem. It was sent back to TNF who replaced the outersheet but it stil wets out in places and still doesn't fit properly - velcro doesn't line up etc. Any thoughts on our chances of getting a refund and getting something else? If so what?!

Your contract is with the store rather than with TNF and it's really a case of whether it's fit for purpose. Google trading standards for some more background then go back to the store and be polite and assertive.

As an alternative, I've a big fan of the Macpac Minaret, though it's a tunnel rather than a semi-geodesic and the Macpac's smaller. An Oympus would be closer, but it really depends what you're using it for.

I had a problem with TNF recently. I got a pair of canyon gloves for Christmas, which cost £54.99 and the bit that stops you from losing them came off after three days in Scotland.

So, I took them back - and they were pretty arsey to be honest. But, I think it's because there's so much fake TNF gear floating around.

The wouldn't exchange them without the receipt, when I produced the receipt they said they would exchange them - but I didn't want another pair. They said I could get something else at Ellis Brigham, but I thold TNF that they didn't have what I wanted as I had looked. So they sent the gloves away, made me wait a couple of weeks and then gave me a refund.

You have to keep at them, but you'll get there eventually.

If that's how they are, I don't think I'll bother!
