Help!

Public transport is failing me again. I can't get to Brothers Water for the Supermeet.

Is anyone likely to be passing through either Oxenholme, Windermere or Penrith on Fri afternoon that I can bag a lift from.

much grovelling on my knees.......

Thanks for the offer Frank

I'm travelling up from London on the train getting into Oxenholme 1252 or Penrith 1318. I'm hoping I don't have to hang about too long or I might just have to change my train

It's worth putting a shout out: anyone coming from Devon/Exeter area? I can get a lift from Cheltenham [thanks Jules :-p] but I can't really afford the train fares at the moment :-(

Elania,

I'm doing a run to Windemere in the evening (about 10:15ish). Its a bit late but if its any help.

Might be able to do earlier in the evening as well but need to check plans.

Might just buy a dome light for the car..

I've worked out I can either get to Windermere early afternoon or Patterdale early evening - its just getting those last few miles.......

I had hoped to get there early afternoon to get out and play. Best laid plans and all that

I'm getting in to Windermere around 4:45
Am thinking it could be a loooooong walk to the camp site - and I didn't agree to go to these kind of events just to spend all my time walking *g*

I'll be travelling through Penrith at arround 20:00 if anyone requires a lift from there.

I may have to leave early on Sunday morning though so lifts back could be a problem.

Ptarmigan,
I'm coming up from Brum by train
I got a set of superdooper 3day advance train tickets yesterday for New Street to Windermere £16.50 each way - there was only a couple left, but might be worth looking at as a backup plan.
Of course, then you'll be stuck in Windermere, but thats a lot closer to the campsite

OK you lot, I can pick up 2/3 people in Windermere at about 6.30pm and take you to the site when I come over to meet everyone for drinks for the evening. It's not too far out of my way so no probs. Best place to meet you all would be the train station. So who wants a lift. Email me direct.

And anyone wanting a lift, might be an idea to email me your mobile number so we can keep in contact if I'm running a little late or trains are running late.

Elaina, I reckon I can probably pick you up from somewhere early afternoon tomorrow - Oxenholme is fine or Windermere if that's easier, say two-ish, though maybe a bit later, depends when I can get away.

Can you drop me an e-mail and we can sort something out?
