Hi all,

I'm looking to get a 4 season sleeping bag and have come across the Stormlite Rolling Clouds 1000 down bag (1000g filling, 550+ Duck Down, -20 comfort rating) but at £105 it seems too good to be true. Does anyone know anything about it, or the Stormlite range, that would help me decide please?

Thanks in advance

Hi Simon,

I have just seen yout thread so thought I coul help. I have a couple of bits of Stormlite gear and I have been very impressed with the performance. The bag I have is the 750 g version whch hasn't let me down (pun) and has taken a fair amount of abuse.

If you can'y afford the ME or Rab bags then go for the Stormlite range.

Stormlite is Field and Treks own brand gear. in reality it is a competitive price baecause it doesnt have the appeal of higher price brands BUT it also will not have been researched and tested as thoroughly as product with a bigger appeal.

Hi, thanks for that.

I do have my eye on a Rab one, but as ever it's all about what the piggy bank has to offer. I'm a complete Stormlite novice, so it's good to know which alternatives are decent, thanks.

It's very much horses for courses. Both the Rab and Stormlite bags will do the same job but I would assume that the down used in the Stormlite bag will not be the same quality as the rab.

You pay your money you make your choice!

Ive just seen on the field and trek site the stormlie 1000 down to £65. my othe choice of bag was the synthetic Ajungilak Kompact winter for £119.
Can any one help me decide.
