When were you there? Probably only just missed each other. I was there in May too on the 12th/13th after going up Ben Macdui. I camped on that flat grassy bit right next to the loch if you noticed it, where the shore was sandy. Were those your footprints?

I somehow missed the "shelter stone" whilst I was there, although I wasn't exactly looking for it.

You wouldn't fit in wearing that pack!

The photo seems to be taken near the Shelter Stone.

If you are ever looking for it, it's under the biggest boulder in the area. The boulder has a mini-cairn on top of it.

Is it near the waterfalls? That's probably why I missed it I headed straight down to the loch. It was quite steep actually and had to cross some snow and wet slippery bits. I don't have the same pack as in that pic anymore, I should upload a newer photo. The pack I have now is smaller, although it's not necessarily any lighter!

Not near the waterfalls really. Go on another couple of pictures in this gallery and there is a big photo of it with a small cairn on top.

Edited to add it is the next photo in same gallery and conveniently called "Shelter Stone'...
