Not too keen on paying for DIY designs, though...

Made any stoves yet, Trevor...?

Hey, I really like this!

Take a catering sized can, and youve got your own multi fuel stove at around 400g!!

Pssst! cp, that appears to be very similar to the free plan version I posted before though, some while back ago here.No cost but the materials to make that one!

As for me making stoves, I have had a good few disasters trying is all sadly! I don't seem to be able to find anything fine enough to cut out the little Euro orangeade cans without wrecking them. Probably I should be using a scalpel as you did I think cp. But I'm just not sure where to get them, as the modellers set version I bought from the cheapo shop isn't really working out too well.

Use a Stanley blade, as shown in the monster Q&A thread.  Dont use it to cut through the can, just to score it heavily.  Use the blade to just start the cut, and then the can will break/tear along the scoreline.

Thanks then cp! That is where I am going very wrong then, by trying to cut right through, instead of just heavy scoring a cut as you say.

Go and re-read the Q&A thread.  It's all there...

Blox - look again.  This is not Jason Klass's site, it is J. Falk's.  I was surprised when it appeared that Klass was charging for a design, but it turns out he's not.

Hi Frum, nice of you to point out the error.

I could have phrased that a bit more politely, couldn't I?

Sorry

Apology accepted Frum. Did you find the link useful?

Only had a quick look so far, but I intend to go back - looks interesting.
