Barbour Jacket Alterations

Tailor needed - shot in the dark

Barbour don't do the alteration I need (making the body of the jacket a slimmer fit).

Does anyone know of a tailor who might be able to do this? All of the ones I've tried won't work with Barbour wax jackets as they are too heavyweight.

Thanks.

Can't help with a tailor. When I bought my Barbour about 20 years ago (still going strong but is starting to look worn in) the shop I bought it from did some alterations but the shop has long gone.

What I would say is if it is new then it will mould to you a bit as it wears in and also if it is the right size then it may be that you just need to get used to the shape. Classic Barbours aren't meant to be form fitting.

Yes, you make a good point, maybe I just need to get used to it. I've had it a fair while though, and like the idea of reducing some of the flap. Don't plan on going too form fitting however. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

You could call Tundra - they may be able to do it.
