Hi all,

Bocci?!! Dam auto correct!

I looking for quite a cheap reliable Bivvi, I don't want to spend alot of money right off the bat on a Bivvi, I want to get some experience with a Bivvi and then when I know what elements I like/dislike I can splash out a bit more! I'm planning a long trip, so alot of wild camping, got my 1man tent but just in the case of needing to be a bit more hidden.
Again any help would be great! If your selling one those offers would be great too!

Cheers,
Badger

While there are quite heavy ex-british army bivvi bags on ebay are nice and cheap. These will certainly do the job and give you experience with out the large outlay of money for the super light weight ones.

Look out for cheap rab survival zones from field and trek or rock and run. Also cheap rab storm bivvy bags. Or alpkit hunka.

I'll be selling a Hunka XL in the first week of July; almost no use on it, pretty much as new condition. It'll be up on Ebay with the auction finishing evening of July 3rd or thereabouts.

M.wick, does it definatly have to hit ebay? How much would you be hoping to get? If you don't want to post here a send me a PM!

Had a look at some of the army surplus ones which seem very cheap, anything in particular which I should look out for or are they all very standard?
Seen a seyntex Belgian army one, anyone have any experience with them?

I shall check out that review, and I will have a quick look at trek and feild!

Years ago I bought 2 secondhand British army bivvis. (separately from different sellers - both £25) .  Both looked in good nick and clean. One had a small patch.  The Patched one was fine with decent DWR, and I still use it.  The better looking one wetted out and leaked the only time it was used in light rain - so I got rid.   A lottery?

Some cheap and not so cheap bivis here

I'm selling a few things and want to keep it all in one place, hence Ebay; low starting prices, see what the market will pay.
