Following on from a thread a while back...

Over 3 years ago I bought a Suunto Vector watch. It's been worn virtually every day subsequently and had a real battering in a wide variety of difficult conditions. Earlier this year it developed a leak around one of the buttons and the back; subsequently half of the functions had packed up along with some of the LCD elements making it nearly useless. An email to Suunto asking for advice about repairs two years after the warranty ran out lead to the watch being returned to Finland.

And now I have received a brand new replacement watch, complete with a replacement for the tatty velcro strap and a spare, all free of charge. 11 out of 10 for the excellently named Riku-Pekka Mikkonen at Suuunto Finland. Excellent customer service: fantastic back-up of a superb product.

That's pretty impressive. Nice to have that level of support these days...
