Dr Bronners - nearly made me puke

Any fans of the Dr Bronners wonder lotion on here? I've been reading about folk using it on extended trips as an all in one cleaner for kit and person.

I thought I'd have a dabble with the mint flavour as it works well as a toothpaste alternative. I ordered a bottle last summer and forgot all about it until tonight. I thought I'd try it after tea and I tell you what, that is some nasty shit to brush your teeth with. Fair enough it tasted minty at first but then I was left with a taste closely resembling a combination of bleach and melting plastic. It was gopping, I had to brush my teeth twice and drink half a bottle of Listerine before I got rid of the taste.

Did I just pick the wrong one or is it supposed to be this rancid? I nearly bought a bottle of orange flavour too which I kind of regretting not doing now.

Any fans?

Lol. Try diluting it for teeth brushing.

Tis great soap. I use the baby version i.e. no oils in it.

I hope you meant the soap not the lotion...Never used that on my teeth (I use baking soda in the bush...) but as a soap for washing myself (including my hair) and my clothing works very well for me.You really only need a couple of drops to 2-3 liters of water to work. There is a lotion too but that is just a skin moisturiser...Franco

I've often thought its UL gone way too far when I've read about it on BPL.

Dried paste dots are palatable. Gum for single overnights.

Washing your mouth out with soap points to a guilty conscience....

Umm.

Horses for courses?

I've used Peppermint flavoured Dr. B for years, now: teeth, hair, pots etc.,

It's a bit of an acquired taste, I guess, but a 25 ml bottle will do me 2 weeks of varied use.

Not sure if Peppermint is so much different to Mint, but, it's what I read (years ago) was the recommended flavour best suited for teeth cleaning. I put just a very tiny dab on the toothbrush, as it is pretty concentrated.
