Hello,

I'm looking for someway of storing routes electronically that include route cards, height profiles & maps. As I'm also doing my ML it would be good if it had a database function as well.

Does anyone know of anything that meets the above criteria?

You could always do some sort of Access database.

With the Access you could scan in the maps and store them as a picture associated with the record.

Or Excel has an elimentary database function.

oops missed a quote from the href, here is is again:

I publish a program called Trailgauge that does everything except the database part. I was thinking of adding that in the next release. <br><br>It doesn't come with maps though, you have to use your own, either scanned from a paper map or downloaded from one of the many internet mapping sites.

Thanks Andrew I'll have a look at that.

I seem to find packages that either do routes and have a database but not maps or do routes and maps but not the database.

Otherwise its Access (jumps up and down with joy!), but still need something to the routes & maps with and it seems to be between MemoryMap & Anquet.

Anyone got any opinions on which is better?

I use Anquet which can be a little fiddly to get use to. (It took my 12 year old son to figure out how to actually print something out that wasn't just a couple of lines and splodges.)

Never used MemoryMap though.
