hilleberg akto

Hello,I bought a Hilleberg Akto about a year ago and now decided to test it out in fairly light rain and found that the inner was getting droplets of water on the outside, i just put this down to condensation dripping onto the inner, there was a small patch where the inner was damp but cannot know if the inner hit the fly or not, does anyone know whether or not this is normal for the akto or could it lead to more serious problems, also i found that there is a serious leak which creates a drip into the vestible on looking further it seems that there has already been a repair attempted at that spot, so i beleive i was sold a tent that had been repaired as new.

Have you contacted the seller or Hilleburg?

I have contacted hilleberg, i gave them a photo, they said that the strip at the end of the zip is normal and are going to send some repair glue, it just seems odd that there is this one strip on one side of the zip i await the glue and seal it back up and see if it makes a difference, as for the inside of the fly getting wet and dripping onto the inner not really sure what is normal amount yet for this tent i do know that for my voyager i never had a single drop of water on the inner skin

Taking into account the Voyager has a much larger inner area than the Akto, i wouldn't find it at all unusual to have condensation on the inner of such a small tent, it was the norm with my laser comp so i'd guess it would be pretty similar with the Akto.

As for the strip of material, have you compared it with other Akto's?, i'd be very surprised if Hilleberg knowingly sold a sub standard product.

my akto leaked around the pole material, but only in heavy rain so i seamsealed it and problem solved.

never had this happen with my akto.
