Want to hear from any folks who have any of this stuff. If you have, what do you think? I'd be especially interested to hear any Kiwi's comments on it.

Do you mean New Zealanders or have you started talking to fruit, gets lonely up there in the frozen North

Not heard of them, but groundeffect.co.nz make some great & reasonably priced mtn biking gear.

its good stuff, the thermals are v warm when wet and considerably less smelly than the standard polypro stuff, I've only used their base layer stuff which has been around about 5 years (mines still as new after continuous use climbing, kayaking etc) and it looks dead stylish, the downside is the price and I dunno about availability over here (I'm ex-kiwi).

Any idea if they have a web site? NZ kit generally seems good. All the Macpac stuff I've ever tested has been blinding and the Ground Effect cycling kit also has a great reputation.

www.icebreaker.co.nz and yes, the Ground Effects is top notch, very hardwearing stuff. Another good one for mtbers is N-Zone (www.n-zone.co.nz) for more clothing. No, I'm not the New Zealand Ambassador!

Funny guy Dave, didn't you know the sun always shines up here??
Thanx for the posts all, John is right about the website which is informative, if a little jazzy. The stuff seems relatively unknown outside NZ where anyone from bikers to yachtsmen seem to wear it, but from speaking to some natives it seems a much better alternative to your synthetics.
