Tougher than the Defy?

Story on The Register

Yup, it's another link to Vulture Central from me, I wish they were paying me. Saw this and thought of all of you. The version of Android is a bit behind but 2.3 is perfectly servicable.

The comments on the story are really asking if this is really any better than the Defy + JCB they made a little while ago. Thoughts?

My reading of the Clove spec is that it doesn't have GPS (i.e. there's no entry in the table, just like there's no entry for DLNA, which it's unlikely to have).

Also, Wifi is limited to b/g, rather than the significantly faster 802.11n

And no accelerometer.

Of course, it could just be that the Clove spec page is a bit rubbish...

Good eyes Captain,

Spec Sheet

Where's the blasted GPS? Looks like the thing's as much use for the great outdoors as a sheep-shit flavoured lolly

How was it up until that point? And why did I imagine a crap attack involving dropping it into some wild animal's spoor?

It was very good up until that point, View Ranger worked a treat on it.

I factory reset it a few timed and no joy.
