Could somebody (Jon, technical boffins) please change the dates on the reviews of "Salomon Raid Race (womens)", "The North Face Summit Everest S/S" and "CMG LED Infinity Light" so that they don't keep coming up at the top of the list of "Latest Reviews". Somebody seems to have put these dates in in US format for some reason!

Chris, the tech guys are aware of this and should be sorting it out. All I can do is apologise...

Ah, don't be so harsh on yourself Jon. I'm sure you can do lots of other things too, and really really well no doubt.

My fault sorry. I think it's me putting the "?" in the date. Well I thought that they got checked before they went live! So it's me who should apologize.

BTW it's a lovely s/s t-shirt...

Nope, it'll be some sort of glitch in the software. Don't you just love them. Anyway, I have asked the tech team to look into it just as soon as they've pulled all the limp spaghetti out of the servers. This is what has been causing problems - apparently someone was eating a plate of spag bol when it got sucked in through a CD drive and mixed up with the internal wiring... Or that might as well be what happened as far as I know.

Andrew it's not you, it is our software. We have just changed servers and the new one now uses American dates. This means we have to run all dates through a filter to turn them back to English ones. This will be uploaded to the site soon.

In the meantime, it's a chance to see some old reviews that are posing as futuristic ones. They should all switch round one of these days.

I may have claimed it was my fault, and I maintain that, but I was subtly saying, that maybe you should check things out before they go live i.e. you look through it, and if you can see a fatal error (like "2000?") you can change it to something a slight bit more sensible...

So, is it this server switch around that has caused my review of the Sprayway Microlite top to go a bit screwy? It's still as badly written as before, but my performance rating has gone down to one out of five. And I'm sure I wasn't that tight cos it's worth a good four.
11/10/2001 at 15:44
It shouldn't have affected that. It's possible that the drop down menu sprang back to rating 1 just before you submitted the review. It does look odd, because you've given it a good review otherwise.

Hmmm...we'll see if we can rectify, but no promises

Yeah, probably my dodgy mouse driving. It could be the Alzheimer's - or delerium tremens.

Thanks, though.
