Hi,

I was looking through the range at Go Outdoors during their 15% off, they have both the Brecon GTX and the MT Trail GTX boots on offer, though the Trail's are a bit cheaper.

Is there a large difference between them? It seems the Trails are actually the boot with more featuree or 'technology' maybe. I was intnent on getting the Brecon's at some point but maybe the Trails' are better value for money?

Odd - the GO website says the Brecons are strap-on crampon compatible but the Mt Trails aren't. I have worn my Mt Trails with G10s quite happily. The Trails are higher up the ankle by the looks of things, so it might depend a bit on comfort there, as well as overall fit. If it's for general UK walking and the Trails fit well, I'd save the money!

I've been very happy with mine, and am on my 2nd pair of Mt Trail xt gtx, the full-grain leather version, having worn out the first.
