I should have bought a pair of these when they were still available at Needle Sports. Does anyone know of an equivalent P+P boot?

Not identical but several synthetic fill  'socks': Exped/Snugpak/PHD/Integral designs. (at least.).

Snugpak ones don't seem to have any sole unit reinforcement but the others seem to.

Eddie

I have a pair of the Mardales I don't use anymore.

Size XL (11/12)

any use?

I have a fair idea of the synthetic options, but I was looking for equivalent pile and pertex.
Buffalo used to do them, I think, so I was hoping that somebody else might do them now.
I have a fair knowledge of the synthetic ones, but it was the pile and pertex that i was hoping to source.
Mole, they could be of interest to me. I am a UK 9.5 / EU 44, but I believe that the Mardales had a very pointed toe, so I might have to size up. Want to send me a pm and sort things out?

You're right about the pointed toe on the Mardales. Still a great bit of kit though.

If Mole's pair don't work out, Helly Hansen do a fibre-pile-only pair. Might be worth a look and then sort out some kind of pertex outer to add to them.

I trawled google for hours looking for some Mardale replacements but couldn't find anything, I ended up going for a PHD down sock instead, they've worked well so far but obviously don't have any protection on the soles.

You can use Tyvek overboots over down boots Shewie (fine on their own in snow) or with a shoe insole in (don't last long that way).

I've got a pair of prototype Ooook tent booties 'on test' (as those bloggers say) - not been much of one as I've only used them twice - very good, for 35g or so. Not sure if Sean intends producing them?
