I bought a pair of Merrell Chameleon Slam's this morning as they were knocked down in Blacks. I put them straight on and boxed my old ragged Nike trainers. The salesman commented as I left the store:-

"You know if you wear them now sir you cannot return them?"

I smiled and set off for home. Three and a half hours and 14 miles later I arrived in Leek after walking along the canal towpath. My feet were a little hot, but no blisters!

Not sure if I'd break in a pair of shoes with a 14 miler straight from the shop!

With this sort of thing? No breaking in involved at all, and really you wouldn't expect blisters over that sort of distance/terrain unless they fitted quite badly.

Sweaty feet and shoes that haven't quite moulded to your feet are are prime reasons that I get blisters .

not so marvellous imo...

They are the hottest trainers i have ever bought, my feet are literally on fire in them on warm days, which is weird as they let in water instantly due to the airvents in them. Cant really be used for running, i definitely wouldnt use them on the hills. Great for puddle free dog walking though ...or walking along towpaths.

Just my opinion.
