I am interested in buying a Mountain Equipment Changabang shell jacket but feel that the snow skirt is not required most of the time in Scottish winters (these days). Does anyony know the weight of the jacket minus the removeable snow skirt? I have written to Mountain Equipments website but have not had the courtesy of a reply.
