I've not used the pant though I have used the jacket - the fabric, 2-ply Conduit, MHW's own membrane is pretty good and has a softer handle than the Gore stuff they use (there's a test of the Ascent jacket somewhere on the site, also Alex F has one I think).
Have used other MHW pants and like them a lot, the leg zips use the Simplex system which means no irritating Velcroed flaps to mess around with, cut is good - neat but not restrictive for me - and the articulated knee seems to work pretty well.
Good cut and design, reasonable fabric too, but like I said, never used the particular pant in question so that's more an educated deduction than anything. Best bet is to try some on and see how they feel.
