Hi. Been a while since I've posted, but have a question. Saw these mini 'viddie' cameras that seemed fairly cheap. I'm trying to work out the gb vs hours. They're 3meg cmos, but brain fell out when trying to do the math. Here's the link. Any pointers welcome. Thanks.

The obvious approach of assuming each frame is 3 meg will not work. You need to know the way in which the imges are compressed. All I can suggest is to ask 7 day shop directly. Good luck and tell us the answer.

Looks to me that the "aprox 3 hour" recording time would be for the 16gb version as it states that on all versions..Be careful because some of these cameras lose the information when the battery is exhausted. As pointed out, not knowing the compression rate you cannot work out the amount of memory used by frame rate and frame size only.Franco

Thanks for the replies, though I didn't get it in the end. Decided that, when I get a vidi camera, I'd rather have one with 'proper' quality video. I did like the look of it though, but it is a bit of a gimmick/one trick pony. Cheers.
