If anyone is thinking of visiting the Mournes in NI, just to let peeps know.

The 'Rambler' bus is now running, till Sept. I think.

It runs from Newcastle bus station once an hour. It will drop off/pick up at the popular access points to the 'high' Mournes and Silent Valley Res.

So if you don't have a car, or don't want to leave in one of the access points. It's a way of getting around Mournes.

Will usually take dogs too, I've had 2 Huskys and a Beagle/Pointer cross with me in past, with out a word said.

 Paul.

I've used the Mourne Rambler bus in the past. It's really useful for getting dropped off in the middle of nowhere, leaving you free to walk all the way across the Mournes with no need to retrace steps. Basically... my type of walking!

That's what I like about it too Paddy.

It's great for mid-week trips, send a few days wondering around, camping and don't have to worry about getting back to car.

Even if you leave it at one of the popular access points, jump on the bus to get back!!
