At Sportpursuit . You'll need to sign up. They have a fair bit of the mens limited edition range in most sizes.

See also the Gaynors website for some good deals on Montane clothing (things like insulated jackets).

Has anyone actually ordered from Sport Pursuit?  I'm sure I read somewhere that they don't carry any stock and that orders take absolutely ages.  (Please jump in anyone to correct me if I'm wrong).

The way Sports Pursuit works is that it makes a "bulk" order to the Manufacturer after the closing date for the offer has passed.  This means a wait of circa 2 weeks after the offer closing date before the kit is dispatched.  I ordered some Craghoppers Gear the other month one of the items was unavailable and they sent me an E Mail to this effect the other item arrived within the above timeframe.

If I was after something in a hurry I would not choose Sports Pursuit but if you see something you like and are prepared to wait then the prices are a bargain.

As Ashley says and they are totally upfront about delivery dates. I've got some stuff on order so I'll report back when it arrives.

I'm trying so hard not to order the prism! I have the money but it's needed elsewhere...dam your bargains for things I don't really need!

Ref the post from Thomasaurus if you want a cheap insulated jacket with man made fibres check out the decathlon website.  They have jackets without the hood from £19.95 and hooded ones from £34.95.  Saw both in the Stockport store today I purchased the £19.95 jacket a few weeks ago and for the price its a bargain.  I have a Montane Prism jacket and I would rate it as being of similar warmth and the build quality is also good.  The downside is that it would be more bulky and would not "compress down" like a Prism.

Are they solid fibre or hollow (not the prism) the other no name jacket

Yeah I know which you mean Ashley, that's my local too. Got plenty of warm stuff for now, got an outdoor research 60gsm fraktion (primaloft) hoody for Christmas and a keela belay jacket. Have you seen this years down jackets from decathlon? Look awesome for the money, definately filo rival potential! Love decathlons gear, proper bargain kit and I've yet to have anything fail on me.

I've ordered from Sports Pursuit. It took a couple of weeks to deliver, but I was aware of the way they operate, and the price was so good I did not mind. I also returned an item and had it refunded no problems.

I was surprised with their Montane sale because, at around 11AM on the 1st day of the sale, the items I were interested were all sold out in my size. I also wish they'd carry more of a range, although I understand why they don't.

Reference the posts about the Decathlon Jackets the two jackets I was referring to in my earlier post were the Quechua Inuit 150 and the Inuit 200.  The specs are similar and the only significant difference is that the Inuit 200 has a hood.  The Inuit 150 weighs 500 gms large and the Inuit 200 is 580 gms large.  Both jackets have a polyester outer and lining with a polyester insulation layer.  The website and the garment "swing ticket" do not give any technical details as to the structure of the insulation material other than stating that the outer and insulation are made of 80% recycled material.  The Inuit 150 costs £19.99 in dark gray and £29.99 in Black.  The Inuit 200 costs £34.99 in either Blue or Black check the website www.decathlon.co.uk for sizes and other info.

Much of the montane stuff on SP can be bought cheaper (and quicker ) online at field & trek or other retailers.....

Just one further point to add to my previous post.  If anyone was thinking of ordering one of the Inuit Jackets over the internet be aware that the sizing of decathlon garments tends to be on the small side.  This means that I normally find when I purchase in store that I need a size bigger than I do in most other outdoor clothing manufacturers sizes (Montane excepted).

At http://www.sportpursuit.co.uk/join/unsponsored_sport.

They've added a load of rucksacks today that look interesting.

There isn't  any mention of back sizes for the rucksacks on the site or any choice of size at the buy now stage on Sportpursuit

Well, when I put my order in with sportpursuit, I'm pretty sure it said the expected delivery date was the 25th and, sure enough, my stuff arrived this morning. As ordered, well packaged and via 1st Class Royal Mail.

Based on that, I wouldn't have any qualms about using them again.

Thanks for you email. We try to make our product descriptions as
comprehensive as possible using all the information given to us by our
brand partners. Unfortunately in this case, Trimm does not specify the
back size of their backpacks. The Litres and the Weight descriptions
will be good indicators of the size of the backpacks.

Is there a specific backpack you had your eye on or could you let us
know your back size? If you let me know, we can have a look a closer
look to see if we can come up with a more detailed product description
for you.=========

I emailed Sportpursuit about the back sizing on the Trimm rucksack but this was the reply. Not practical to buy one unless you know the sizing.
