Never been, but I took this note from a previous post some time ago. Should at least get you in the right area, but can't guarantee the opening times are current...
"The factory shop is at Wimsey Way, Alfreton, open Weds & Thurs 12.30-15.30 every week."
Check out the blog here......
Cotswolds have a fair bit of Rab stuff in their bargain bin ATM.
I've been on an open day there where they invited 'friends of RAB' along and it was huge. The discounts were amazing, including sample stuff. I picked up a £200 primaloft jacket from there for £55!!! The shop in the week is smaller but there is still a chance for a bargain or two, especially Lowe Alpine bags, RAB base layers and waterproofs...
does a anyone know if this outlet is still up and running? I would like to visit but it's a bit of a drive!
Yes it is, still on a Wednesday and a Thursday afternoon. That said, I've not been for a few years but my dad goes fairly frequently and reports that the bargains are not what they used to be e.g. fleeces used to be £10, they're now £30. Also they generally have a very limited range of sizes, related to the sizes they use for samples. For men it's large and I think 12 for women. So, loads of stuff in those sizes and very little else by the sound of it.
times and days are right - bought a vapour rise top from there - retail price was £95 - paid £15 - mate was jealous as had just paid full price whilst in the Lakes!
Are the days and times still the same
still the same, hop has moved to another part of the building now
On holiday just 20 miles from Rab factory shop and paid them a visit today. Came away with a Latok for £175. List price £325. Bargain.
Still open, wednesdays and thursdays, 12.30 -15.30, as expected like all outlet stores, it' gone bigger and more pricey, a few years ago it was obviously trial garments with minor floors and imperfections, now there' nothing wrong with the kit (a good thing) but also doubled in price. I don't expect things for free but I have picked up many of the items online at a similar price, after some digging, that said if you live local it's fine, if you have to travel some distance, you will end up buying something like I did, just to convince yourself the trip wasn't wasted, guess I'm the mug.
P.s. I went yesterday 9th March 16
I went a couple of weeks ago. It is now around the back and much bigger. I struggled to find anything that was a real bargain. Mainly hard-shells when I was in, but that is going to vary. As Sean said, prices were no better than can be found online. Rab produce samples in size large, so there is more of a chance of getting something if that is your size. Nothing like the gem it was imho.
