Anything else you'd like to see on the review system? Any questions? In time all the site reviews will be linked in as well, plus eventually tests from On The Hill magazine as well, so it should become a really decent resource.

Stuff from Trail as well. They do loads of reviews. I would it if the rating, and the bits, which are all a constant length, go on the left hand side, and the product name (which caries in length) goes to the right of that, so that it is more easily visible, what relates to what. I ahven't gone wrong yet, but soon will.

I'd love to carry all the reviews from Trail, but they might just, possibly and legitimately sue us for breach of copyright... We have a partnership with On The Hill which means that we cooperate over stuff like this, but no relationship with Trail or their publishers, Emap. In fact that's not strictly true as I do have a relationship with someone on Trail, it's just not a professional relationship, he said enigmatically.

How about when adding a new bit of kit there's a place for you to put the name and URL (or phone number for old fashioned places) for somewhere you can buy it from.

Is there a way of listing ALL reviews? Either by date or category?

1. Simon: not that I'm aware of, though as you've probably noticed, you can search or list the latest reviews.

Incidentally we have a glitch with the new products which means some of them won't submit properly, so apologies if you've sumitted something and wonder why it's taken so long to appear.

2. Chris - eventually the system will link into contacts for your local shops, it's part of the next stage of development. It should also have a link to the manufacturers' web sites where appropriate I reckon.

How about a link to one of those free currency converter pages on the review submission page, then I could give the exact price I paid in British pounds. I also like Chris' idea of a toollink to a source, I often find products available online at a considerable discount from the suggested price and it seems more and more retailers, both U.K. and U.S., are willing to ship internationally these days.

Oh, and I think there's some kind of problem with the compass review page, it's not loading fully.

Thanks Glen, the currency converter link is a definite possibility. Over here there's a lot of pressure on retailers not to discount online, mainly because manufacturers who sell to online retailers then get a lot of flack from their bricks and mortar retailers, so quite often the stuff that's discounted on the web is end of line or end of season or simply not selling well at full price. There's some very good kit around just the same though and one of the effects of the foot and mouth thing will be to create a surplus of unsold gear towards the end of this summer as the new autumn/winter stuff comes into the shops.

I'll get the tech team onto the compass review glitch, same thing happens with cutlery. Thanks for letting us know.
