rubber labels

why huge great rubber/plastic labels?

bought a DAre2Be softshell/windproof last weekend. it's very light & compact, which is nice, but it's got a bl00dy great plastic label just at the base of the neck/top of the shoulderblades. It's on a bit of mesh and is a triangle 11cm per edge.

Argh! i can't see it being to stop abrasion, cos the mesh is there...could it be to stop grease & sweat contamination ? all it's got is advertising blurb on it, i suspect it's form over function & more to appeal to people when it's on the rack.

i'm actually 3/4 of the way through cutting it off, so if you want to stop me you gotta be quick!;-)

ssshhhh don't tell the missus but I ordered an Akto this afternoon, I've just checked my inbox and I have a nice email from f&t entitled order confirmation, however the email is completley blank ? it doesn't lfill my with confidence.

While I'm on this thread, maybe the rubber labels can be used as an emergancy repair kit for your thermarest or your bike ?
