I am sick zips that I don't want. Bags so long I need a head torch to find the bottom. Height 5'6" (168cm) Sleeping bag comfortable at -2C Down filled for 3 season use. Is there anything in the UK to suit.

Possibly worth a look at the PHD Minim 300 in the PHD Sale which starts tomorrow (preview available now). A 3 season bag which PHD rate to zero, but I've used mine a few degrees below this - a lot depends on whether you sleep warm or cold of course*.

The basic model is a simple box wall design with no zip. They offer a short version (I assume they will in the sale) and at 5' 6" you're right on the limit for it. I'm 6', which is the upper limit for their standard size and I find that fine, so hopefully the short will be the equivalent for you.

( * if it ended up not quite warm enough you could probably get PHD to add a bit more down later - not sure what this would cost though )

** or go for a Minim 400 (-5C rated) in the first place, but that's £250 and not in the sale.

Matt's right that you'll be right on the limit; at 5' 7", I have to go for the Regular length PHD bag - I tried a Short but it wasn't quite long enough!

Or get one custom made - Mrs Stove is 5'2 and for £25 extra Rab made a bag to her exact size. Helpfully they redistributed the extra down so it was also a bit puffier.

As Kate said go for the regular Phd bag. I am only 5 foot 6 and have a regular and a short Phd bag .The short is a squeeze for me .The regular is a much more comfortable fit

Standard ME Dewline works for me.  I'm 5'8" so a smidge taller, but there's very little wasted space in it.  No zip, no collar, good shell, good down.  I've been very pleased with it.

They seem to not exist any more at ME's web site, but a quick google suggests they're still Out There for ~ £150.

Pete.
