I have a RAB hoody, 60 gm primaloft throughout. Lovely to put on when you stop or to wear if conditions are very bad, but it's far too inflexible. If you start to heat up, it's a huge step to remove your insulation AND windproof layer in one go. I far prefer fleece and seperate windproof. I keep the hoody for when I stop, and largely reserve it for long treks now, preferring thick/medium and thin fleece combinations with the windproof for most other activities, e.g. use thin fleece if walking into a bothy mid winter, thicker fleece for use on tops later, the thin fleece being kept in the pack.
