What do folks know about Tenson stuff, I saw some in a sale the other day but don't know anyone who uses it,I've seen the name around but have no knowledge of the products, (want some waterproof salopette type things for winter stuff)

Their products are mostly designed for skiing and boarding, in very cold, dry conditions. I think you might get very overheated doing any kind of aerobic activity (like climbing or walking uphill) in this kind of skiwear. Also, any padding will make salopettes relatively non-breathable and slow-drying.

In British conditions, you'd be better off in warm fleece topped with a breathable waterproof layer. But if you're skiing abroad the Tenson gear might be worth a look.

I bought a padded (winter) jacket with their MPC lining for winter hillwalking over 10 years ago.

As far as keeping the weather out it was bombproof, and it still is. Not many Goretex jackets last as long!

I know I'm a little late on this thread, but I had to say something, I was so impressed with the jacket.
