Terra nova laserlarge

Hi all

does anyone have a terra nova laser large 1 or 3? as i was thinking of getting one to replace my tiny vango tempest 200 which is a fantastic tent just a bit diddy when its chucking it down....and if we get a summer like we just had i could do with more space.

Have you seen the Marmot Widi 2P as well? It's a bit heavier, slightly larger, but it has similar pole sleeves to the Hilleberg tents (i.e. closed at one end so it is easy to put up). I'd be interested in hearing opinions of both tents.

Lovely tent the first one there, and I want one too! I found that bargains thread price of under two hundred quid the other day there! Chris Townsend has one I think.

Why would you want a Laser Large 3!! Lots of space in the 1! It is supposed to be a very roomy two man.

i ended up getting one for £200 so it should arrive today!

i wanted the 3 because we need more porch space and when we get a dog we will need space for that too.

its not brand new but it was from terra nova's website and should be in mint condition.

Lovely, yes it is most worthwhile looking into their website every so often, as they do have regular different good offers on there of new kit, slight seconds rejects (only light production line defects), discontinued lines and the such like. I recently got Gore-Tex hat, gloves, and another different style hat, a few months back ago, all at really reduced prices.

Remember though, in all of these places, be careful to select the exact right 'condition' drop down box to avoid getting sent out factory 'seconds'! Unless of course you don't mind factory seconds and so choose those!

Trevor, I should have the tent on Monday or Tuesday. Work is a bit hectic at the moment, so I'll have a play with it in the garden next weekend to see what it's like. I don't think it will be getting any real use until December - going out to Tenerife and La Gomera for a few weeks. I think I'll be doing some winter stuff in the new year, but I might be taking something a bit more bomb-proof!
