In the market for new all year round sleeping mat, and looking at one of these two. Has anyone got one of them, and if so what's you opinion on it?

 Cheers, JP

I've got the Exped 7 ul downmat, as well as the normal exped 7 ul mat. No Problems with either and would recomment. You get a pump sack with the down mat as well.

Just purchased Exped UL Downmats for me and the wife - extremely pleased with purchase - so much more comfortable than our thermarests were and about the same weight.

Thermarest is somewhat lighter on web-specs for comparable size but also likely noisier due to construction and fabrics used (crinkly) as with other neoair. Downmat is silent. Just weighed my Medium size downmat and it comes in at: 678g including stuffsack, inflation sack and included repair kit...but extremely comfortable 4 season mat - can thoroughly recommend.

some of the baffles in my downmat have popped through over exhuberant inflation. this is annoying. aslo, it haemorrhages down al.l over my tent during deflation.i do not like it

return it to exped through a retailer, baffles shouldn't pop. You have a right on guarantee

Nice one - I'm sure you'll enjoy some fabulously comfortable sleep outdoors with the Downmat - my wife was sceptical about upgrade benefits but is soundly convinced after a few nights camping

Just arrived this morning. I was skeptical about the schnoozel inflation bag thing, but it seems to work really well, and I can easily get the mat inflated enough, and it's a really comfortable mat to lie on! Small pack size too, and not to bad weight wise considering it's an all year item.

Looking forward to using it for a few nights next week.
