Trousers for about £20

Title says it all really, I've been using a pair of Peter Storm ones I bought for £20 about 2 years ago now, they've done a decent job, however they're getting a bit short in the leg and there's more stitched up bits than unstitched bits on the right leg (half way up to the knee got caught on a barbed wire fence :/). Anyone got any suggestions on trousers in this price range?

I like the Craghopper's Kiwi trousers as well but mine have always seemed ridiculously tight if there's anything in the pockets.

Thanks  in advance

Try TKmaxx or Debenhams for Craghopper clearance. Also Hawkshead. Polycotton trews are all the same except for detail

Cheers, I didn't think there was much difference between my Peter Storm ones and the craghoppers.

"have always seemed ridiculously tight if there's anything in the pockets." buy the correct size ones.

the kiwi's are probably the best trews out there at that  price.

Crags do seem tight on the upper leg if you do any sort of cycling etc. Get a bigger size and the have far too much bag around the waist, espesh at the rear.

I have two pairs of Crag Kiwis that I want rid of. What do people pay for second hand kiwis?

PS I find Kiwis too baggy and use Ronhills in the Summer and lined / softshell troos in the Winter

So, Kiwis are too tight and too baggy.

I find them to be perfect travel trousers

indeed they are mick, and at around £20, a real steal.

you'll find out on ebay ragu.

some people must have very large thighs or the wrong size trews

Aye - it is a problem. Had a right mission buying a harness this year, as wanted a fixed leg loop but even xl was always right on the limit with thin troos. Pulling a tape tight results in 66cm... not good for skinny kit.

Some people are just fat gits! <and you need to be a tad porky for Kiwis to be tight on your thighs>

Kiwis, good for the pub, social functions, weddings , funerals, and hills. Actually I don't get invited to social functiona anymore, because I always wear my Kiwis.

Can't beat em in my view.
